YSP Series Low-Voltage Variable-Frequency Speed-Regulating Three-Phase Asynchronous Motors

1 Overview

The YSP series variable-frequency speed-regulating three-phase asynchronous motor is a new type of variable-speed motor designed to be powered by a variable-frequency drive (VFD) system.

YSP series motors feature high-quality materials and precision manufacturing, offering low noise, high efficiency, a wide speed-regulation range, high precision, stable operation, and ease of use and maintenance. Mounting dimensions comply with International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) standards. Enclosure protection ratings include IP44, IP54, and IP55. Ratings are based on continuous duty (S1). Available voltages include 380V and 660V at a rated frequency of 50Hz. Continuous speed regulation is possible within the 5–67Hz range: constant-torque operation applies from 5Hz to 50Hz, and constant-power operation applies from 50Hz to 67Hz. This series is equipped with an independent forced-air cooling system (IC416). For motors driving fans or pumps, the load characteristics dictate a constant-torque operating range of 25–50Hz with no constant-power range; therefore, the cooling method can be changed to self-fan cooling (IC411) upon user request.

Motor construction and mounting types include IMB3 (horizontal with feet, no flange on end shield), IMB35 (horizontal frame with feet, flange on end shield), and IMV1 (vertical frame without feet, flange on end shield), complying with GB997 and IEC34-7 standards regarding "Classification of types of construction and mounting arrangements of rotating electrical machines."

This series of motors is suitable for driving various general-purpose machinery—such as compressors, fans, water pumps, machine tools, and transport equipment—and serves as a prime mover in industrial and mining enterprises across sectors including mining, machinery manufacturing, petrochemicals, and power generation.
