1 Overview

The YGSP180–355 series high-speed, variable-frequency, three-phase asynchronous motors—designed specifically for AC electric dynamometers—represent the latest product developed by our company. Building upon the foundation of the original YSP series and incorporating advanced technologies from abroad, this series was created following extensive market research and data collection. These motors offer advantages such as low noise, minimal vibration, a wide speed-regulation range, reliable operation, and ease of maintenance. They are compatible with various domestic and international variable-frequency drive (VFD) systems, facilitating energy conservation and automated control. When operating at low speeds (below the rated frequency), the motors deliver high starting torque and maintain constant-torque operation with smooth performance, free from torque "creep." At high speeds (ranging from the rated frequency to the maximum operating frequency), they exhibit high overload capacity, ensuring constant power output. Forced ventilation is provided by an independently powered centrifugal fan, guaranteeing effective cooling across all operating speeds. The motors feature reliable insulation and excellent performance; advanced dielectric breakdown testing controls the quality of key materials like magnet wire and impregnating varnish, while dynamic dielectric measurements during the insulation process monitor varnish impregnation and baking to ensure consistent, reliable insulation quality. They are highly resilient against overvoltage caused by the high carrier frequencies of VFDs. Additionally, computer control interfaces can be configured to meet user requirements, facilitating the automation of the speed-regulation system.

The enclosure protection rating for this motor series is IP23, in accordance with GB4942.1 and IEC34-5 standards ("Degrees of protection provided by the integral design of rotating electrical machines").

The cooling method for this motor series is IC06, in accordance with GB/T1993 and IEC34-6 standards ("Methods of cooling for rotating electrical machines").

The construction and mounting arrangement is IMB3 (horizontal mounting with feet; end shields without flanges), complying with GB997 and IEC34-7 standards ("Classification of types of construction and mounting arrangements of rotating electrical machines"). 2 Scope of Application

This series of motors is primarily used to drive dynamometer equipment, but can also drive various general-purpose machinery such as compressors, fans, metal-cutting machine tools, transport machinery, and other equipment.

b Maximum ambient air temperature not exceeding 40°C; minimum ambient air temperature of -15°C;
