The primary challenges associated with variable-frequency, speed-regulated, three-phase asynchronous motors for open-pit mining loaders include low-frequency starting, frequent high-magnitude overloads, and harsh operating environments characterized by intense vibration and heavy dust.
To meet these demanding on-site operating conditions, our company employs an axial push-in structural design. We optimize the rigidity of both individual components and the overall assembly to raise the natural frequency and avoid resonance. Additionally, we utilize cast-aluminum rotors with increased thermal capacity in the rotor bars and end rings; this expands the heat transfer surface area and improves the motor's thermal margin.
